Human perceptions sometimes poses questions the mind is incapable of answering. Because of the longing of the Presence of something or it's remark, our emotions and perceptions are flawed and less reliable. This is because of the manipulation of our hormones.
Man has constantly desired and craved for the presence of a dear one that it becomes so annoying if he doesn't get that feeling.
As a believer who walks with God, you are drawn to RECOGNIZE His Presence in your life. Especially when there are lines to connect the dots. When things begin to change and silence steps in, questions of Faith begins to emerge due to an established but faulty perception.
Life gets sweeter when the sky is blue and the rivers flow. When the sky gets cloudy, when the midnight sets in, when the river begins to dry, then, man begins to Question his experiences. We have presumed that the presence of God is the evidence of only the green leaves on the tree. Well, the yellow decaying leave doesn't negate the Presence of God.
Therefore, even when God appears to be a thousand miles away from us, He is close enough to touch. In our definition of ABSENCE is the PRESENCE. When we pray and our prayers come back to us as echoes from an empty world, The Lord is AT WORK in HIS OWN WAY.
A story was told of a young girl who was knocked down by life. She accused God of not hearing her prayers, leaving her when He had said He will never forsake her. She showed Him the map with just one footstep and told Him she has had to walk through all alone. He replied to her "every step on that map was me carrying you through".
His Presence supercedes our senses. When the door isn't opening, God is there. When the money you have been waiting for comes and get stolen, God is there. When it doesn't make any sense, He is there. His silence is not an evidence of His disinterest. His silence sharpens our dependence and sensitivity.
When Hannah was praying for a child, He was listening. In the lion's den,He was there. With Joseph in the pit and prison, He was there. With Job's situation, He was there. He's here in the storm. He's right here. Through your tears, He's here.
He is so mindful of us that every tear we cry and every hair on our hair he knows of. He has promised never to leave us(Matt 28:20 & Joshua 1:5). His ears are attentive to our prayers (1Pet.3:12). When we pass through the waters,He is with us, through the rivers, when we walk through fire, He is there with us(Isaiah 43:2).
God is Present in our lives even when He seems deaf or on an extended leave of absence. Human beings are incredibly precious to God. He is so mindful of us!He says "do not worry", "be strong and courageous", "fear not", "have faith".
